Still Standing | A Passion Project

When life throws you a curveball, hit it again, and again until you hit it out of the ballpark.

That holds true for some as I have learned based on my own experiences. I still wonder how I have managed to survive life's many curve balls along the way. One thing stood out though, there are indeed angels among us. I could list names, or write a book in their honor, I'm sure I'd run out of ink. They lent, and continue to lend a hand when that was needed, a shoulder to stand on (literarily) and a kick in the rear to jolt me out of my revery (why not you conversations?)

You often hear when life hands you lemon you add sugar and make lemonade. Simple enough right?  That assumes you have sugar, a bowl, water and ice to make lemonade.  Sometimes you don't even remember where the sugar is. Ask a woman who's gone through.

In honor of National Philanthropy month, my friend @brunchandslay along with several vendors who are consciously giving back, including @styledbykelseyv @blowdrybarhtown @thinkinggirlsboutique @camelandbirdie to name a few, will come together this Saturday, November 5 to celebrate and pamper 10 local women who have had to keep batting that proverbial curve ball. These women are bold enough to share their stories to encourage other women so be on the lookout for real life stories.

Please consider giving back to someone this month. Lend a hand, a shoulder to cry on or a kick in the rear to move them forward. Celebrate the achievement of those who have had to go through, no matter how small.

If you are interested in joining The Still Standing Project please contact me at LifeStories@RonnieBliss.com My hope is to hold this celebration in the first week of November annually.
