She is her friend and his cousin and she knows two people that would be great for one another. Getting them together, well that's another matter altogether. But Morayo persisted. And what wing woman doesn't have an eager assistant? Enter Temitope, her daughter as the eager assistant, both on a mission to get these two to meet. Meet they did. That was all that was required. Both mother and daughter were right of course, there's chemistry there alright because Ruth and Afolabi clicked right away and are now almost inseparable.
They both love Cold Stone Creamery, don't know how she still kept that figure, I'm jealous for sure, but I digress.
I had the honor of spending an afternoon photographing their engagement session, these two lovebirds around the grounds of the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center at the DC National Habor and could have held a contest of smiles, giggles, and outright laughter. Ruth has mastered the power of her smile cause it disarms him instantly and gets him to join in. Even though it was a particularly crowded day, neither was deterred. We actually caught a few cases of congratulations. I couldn't have been happier for these two because they're actually close and personal to me.
