YEAR 2015: AT THE CROSSROAD OF A NEW LEASE ON LIFE - PART II | RONNIE BLISS PHOTOGRAPHY | MARYLAND WEDDING PHOTOGRAHER

Welcome back! Today is the continuation of the first photography workshop I attended earlier this year. The Bayside Bride Workshop was wedding business strategies + styled shoots.

The business connections and personal friendships made at these local level are nothing short of incredible. Our Community over Competition has grown into The Rising Tide Society and a Tuesdays Together monthly networking sessions with a focus on both personal and small business growth. The uniqueness of Tuesdays Together is the bond of friendships that is nothing short of sisterhood. A community where collaboration is the norm. I can definitely say that I look forward to each networking session and the opportunity to support one of these wonderful ladies.

Enjoy the images from the wedding styled shoot.

Year 2015: AT THE CROSSROAD OF A NEW LEASE ON LIFE | RONNIE BLISS PHOTOGRAPHY | MARYLAND WEDDING PHOTOGRAHER

At the crossroad of life, I entered 2015 knowing it is a year of many changes in every area of my life. Simply put, crazy scary at the same time wildly exciting. Afterall it’s not every day you’re handed the opportunity to stand at a crossroad of a new lease on life. What to do! Take a left, a right or stay put? Decisions! Decisions!! Decisions!!! With this rare and exciting ‘opportunity’, I decided to immerse myself in some personal development, explore honing my photography skill by attending several workshops for different reasons. The Bayside Bride Workshop was the first, hosted by Natalie Franke and Krista Jones. It was wedding business strategies meet styled shoots. Not just one styled shoot but engagement + wedding. As if that was not enough, how about shooting digital or film? Fear not, my goal was personal development so I stayed digital.

On a personal level, I came away with tons of new ideas, skills were definitely honed, gained an entire community of friends and a movement called Community over Competition. A group of creatives, in the same relative creative space, who are genuinely rooting for your business to succeed. Wow!

Here are some images from the engagement session.

Thank you for visiting, more on the wedding images next week.

Eye candy

Why drive 70 miles for a photo shoot?

When it's in the company of great friends, beautiful couple, wonderful creatives and an old cadillac.

Julie and Caleb looks absolutely gorgeous it was well worth the drive.

Another Step In The Right Direction

The challenge was another simple task that lead to developing my good habit.

Write a list. That's it. A list. A very simple list. Nothing fancy, she wrote. Keep it with important papers or digital files.

So I wrote my list. A list of thoughts and ideas, interests and passion. And yes, there's a difference between interests and passion but that's for another day.

My list started simply enough, but grew quickly. Out of the list came 'Do Good Mondays', an inspirational short read geared toward doing something GOOD, mostly for others, sometimes for ourselves. Call it my Monday morning nudging.

I’m taking baby steps. Which of your business or personal goals do you need help with? There are 27 days left in August. Let’s do this together.
