A large portion of my business focuses on Personal Branding Photography. If you’re in a certain line of work, often it’s important to look the part. But what happens if you’re looking to make a career switch and your current online presence and branding don’t support the “look and feel” your new career tends to go for? Is it OK to drop everything and “Rebrand” — start from scratch? Of course it is!
When Dana called me up, she was looking to redefine her professional image with a rebranding photography session. There was nothing wrong with her old online presence. Not at all. But, it wasn’t exactly what she was trying to reflect in her new career. Dana has always been incredibly fashionable, and in this session, we were looking to rebrand her online social appearance to fall more in line with the type of professional appearance that she wanted to represent in her new sales endeavor.
New Year, New You!
In today’s world of technology, brand imagery plays a vital role in how your clients, coworkers, competitors and peers perceive you. One of the best ways to show everyone who you are and what you represent is through personal branding photography. If your online presence shows potential clients who you are in a stylized manner unique to your brand, often they’ll be more inclined to make the first move in working with you.
But, sometimes things change. We change. Our career path changes. What then? Maybe then it’s time for a reintroduction — a rebranding to your audience using the power of professional photography!
Personal Branding and Rebranding Photography with Ronnie Bliss Photography
I’ve been a personal branding and rebranding photographer for years now. Over those years, I’ve taken the time to fine-tune my approach to personal branding as a whole.
In my approach, it’s important to complete a clarity or discovery session first. Really get down to what you’re going for and how you want to represent yourself in your new brand. How you want your peers to see you. Next, we identify what types of clients, or just people in general you want to attract. Also, it’s equally important to clearly articulate what type of people you don’t want to attract. Knowing these three things gives us the ability to start shaping what your new online presence is going to be.
Now the fun really begins. We meet with my stylist to discuss your wardrobe selections for the day as well as professional makeup. My goal is for you to look your absolute best the day of the shoot so that we can really capture the essence of how you want to portray yourself. Finally, you just need to show up the day of your shoot and ROCK YOUR SESSION!
In my job, my goal is to help business owners clarify their marketing images and visual strategy with personalized, professional images. That’s what Branding and Rebranding is all about! Sometimes, it’s good to have a “fresh start” and present to your clients a new version of you. It’s okay to change-- that’s how we grow! With Dana, it was all about showing the world the best version of herself. I wanted to make sure that her new image was specifically tailored to her and her new career. Good luck, Dana!
